Details

When choosing an oxidizer for eyebrow tinting, it’s crucial to understand the differences between the commonly used 2% and 3% oxidizers. The primary factor that distinguishes them is the concentration of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), which impacts the intensity and effectiveness of the tinting process.

Key Differences:

1.Intensity of Tint Embedding

  • 3% Oxidizer: A higher concentration of hydrogen peroxide (3%) means the oxidizer embeds the tint more intensively into the hair structure. This results in a more vivid and long-lasting color.
  • 2% Oxidizer: With a lower concentration of hydrogen peroxide (2%), the oxidizer activates the tint without significantly altering the natural shade of the hair. This provides a more subtle tinting effect.

2. Effect on Natural Hair Shade

  • 3% Oxidizer: The higher percentage of hydrogen peroxide can cause slight lightening of the natural hair shade, making the color appear more pronounced.
  • 2% Oxidizer: This lower percentage does not lighten the natural hair color, maintaining its original tone while enhancing it with the chosen tint.

3. Usage Considerations

  • 3% Oxidizer: Ideal for those looking for a more dramatic and noticeable change in their eyebrow color. It’s suitable for creating bold and defined brows.
  • 2% Oxidizer: Best for those who prefer a more natural look, enhancing their brows without a significant change in their natural color. It’s perfect for subtle enhancements and slight color adjustments.

Choosing the Right Oxidizer

The choice between a 2% and 3% oxidizer depends on the desired outcome:

  • For Intense Tinting: Opt for the 3% oxidizer if you want your eyebrows to have a more intense and vibrant color.
  • For Natural Enhancement: Choose the 2% oxidizer if you prefer a natural look with minimal lightening of your natural hair shade.

Understanding these differences ensures you select the right oxidizer to achieve your desired eyebrow tinting results, providing either a bold transformation or a natural enhancement.

Can I Use the 2% Oxidizer with the Previous Version of “Deep Brow Tint”?

When it comes to eyebrow tinting, using the correct oxidizer is crucial for achieving optimal results. A common question is whether the 2% oxidizer can be used with the previous version of “Deep Brow Tint.”

Yes, theoretically you can use the 2% oxidizer with the previous version of “Deep Brow Tint.” However, there are important considerations to keep in mind for best results.

Potential Issues

While it is safe, using the 2% oxidizer with the older tint formulation may not produce the desired saturated color on the skin. The previous version of “Deep Brow Tint” was not specifically formulated to work with the 2% oxidizer, which may lead to less intense and long-lasting results.

Recommendation for Optimal Results

For the best outcome, we recommend using the 2% oxidizer with the new “SBTS 2.0” (SMART BROW TINTING SYSTEM 2.0). This updated system is designed to work synergistically, ensuring that the tint is embedded effectively into the hair and skin, providing vibrant and lasting color.

Why Choose “SBTS 2.0”?

  • Enhanced Compatibility: The new “SBTS 2.0” formulation is specifically designed to work with the 2% oxidizer, ensuring maximum color saturation and longevity.
  • Improved Results: By using the recommended combination, you achieve more consistent and satisfactory tinting results, with a richer and more vibrant color payoff.

Conclusion: While using a 2% oxidizer with the previous version of “Deep Brow Tint” is safe, it is not the optimal choice for achieving the best tinting results. For enhanced color saturation and overall effectiveness, it is advisable to use the 2% oxidizer with the new “SBTS 2.0.” This ensures a superior tinting experience, providing clients with the vibrant, long-lasting eyebrow color they desire.

How to Use

  • PREPARATION

Start by thoroughly cleaning the eyebrow area. Use ELAN DETOX-MOUSSE to degrease the hairs and skin before proceeding with the eyebrow tinting or shaping procedures. Remove the foam with a cotton pad moistened with water to ensure a clean base for optimal tinting results.

  • BROW SHAPING

Shape the eyebrows to your desired form using any suitable eyebrow shaping product. This step ensures that your brows have the perfect outline before applying the tint.

  • TINTING MIXTURE

Mix Deep Brow Tint 2.0 with 2% Oxidizing Emulsion in a 1:1 ratio using a non-metallic container. To enhance and intensify the colors or to create a new shade, incorporate the corresponding Eyebrow Tint Colour Booster according to the following ratio:

  • Eyebrow Tint (49%) + Oxidizing Emulsion (49%) + Booster Concentrate (2%) = Tinting Mixture (100%)

Important Notes:

  • The color of the tint in the bottle or tube may vary from light brown to black due to exposure to air after opening. This is normal and does not affect the tinting results.
  • The final shade will be closer to the color of the booster (blue or orange) depending on the amount of booster concentrate used.

  • EYEBROW TINTING

Apply the prepared tinting mixture to the eyebrows following the desired shape. Leave the tint on for 5-10 minutes, depending on the desired intensity. After the specified time, remove any excess tint with a cotton pad moistened with water. If the tint extends beyond the desired shape, clean the excess with a cotton swab moistened with ELAN SKIN COLOR REMOVER.

  • COMPLETING

To set the achieved tinting results, apply ELAN COLOUR FIX to the eyebrows.

Precautions

Caution:

  • The oxidizing emulsion contains hydrogen peroxide.
  • The eyebrow tint and booster concentrate contain p-Phenylenediamine, p-Phenylenediamines (toluene diamines), and resorcinol.

Allergy Test:

  • Perform an allergy test 48 hours before use. Mix 2 drops of tint with oxidizing emulsion and apply to a small area on the elbow bend. If there is no redness, swelling, or irritation, you can proceed with tinting.

Professional Use Only:

  • Hair dyes can cause severe allergic reactions. This product is not for use by persons under the age of 16.
  • Temporary black henna tattoos may increase the risk of allergy.

Do Not Use If:

  • You have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated, or damaged scalp skin.
  • You have experienced any reaction after hair coloring.
  • You have had a reaction to black henna temporary tattoos in the past.

Safety Measures:

  • Use protective gloves.
  • Avoid metallic objects during application.
  • Do not apply to eyelashes.
  • For external use only.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. If the product gets into your eyes, rinse immediately with water.
  • Rinse thoroughly after application.
  • In case of an allergic reaction, consult a dermatologist.

Following these steps and precautions will ensure a safe, effective, and satisfying eyebrow tinting experience.
